Dear Anthony, I am enjoying your beautiful CD, "Anthony Newton Plays Beethoven--Volume 1". "The Pathetique" and "The Moonlight Sonata" are both long-time favorites of mine. While listening to these pieces, I can visualize you at the piano, because your emotive style touches my heart and soul! The "Appassionata" is one with which I was not previously familiar, and I am happy that you are the pianist who has introduced me to it. Anthony is a fantastic pianist. I have heard him on stage several times, and feel that he is truly a born performer. His music is always exciting to listen to because he gets himself involved musically. I am looking forward to his chamber music recital at Steinway. Also, I am eagerly awaiting the release of his Beethoven CD. I plan on buying several copies.
